The Senior Manager’s primary duties will be to provide the contracts leadership
that will enable the business unit to conduct front-end strategic assessment of
business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract
administration, and customer contact activities, to provide for proper contract
acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal
requirements, and customer specifications. It is therefore critical that the
Senior Manager be a true leader to the program contracts team and a strategic
partner to the Program Vice President. The Senior Manager must be able to
articulate and establish sound contractual policy while working through a
variety of programs to ensure successful implementation.
The new Senior Manager will be a proven leader who will be responsible for
contract administration functions for major international and U.S Government
engineering and production contracts. The Senior Manager will have
responsibility for a staff of approximately 10-15 contracts professionals
supporting the operating programs.
Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Serve as a visible and active leader within the
contracts group and all programs to achieve appropriate integration and
processes within the business unit.

Prepares bids; reviews statement of work and
specifications to identify risks, informs management of contractual risks;
compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Examines and understands Forward Pricing Rates, cost
structures, material estimates, production costs, performance requirements, and
delivery schedules to ensure a compliant proposal is submitted to the customer.

Recommends solutions or alternate proposals to
minimize risk and participates as a key resource on capture teams.
·
Serves as a focal point of contact with the customer
for all contractual matters and is a liaison with customers and internal
departments for all matters affecting contracts.

Provide leadership that promotes contractual strength,
for the unit and division, personal service to the customers of the business
unit, and open communication among employees. |
