Description

Responsible for development of bids, proposals and quotes for sale of company products. Works under the direction of the Manager, Commercial Contract Administration for Contracts Administration and Legal Services Department.

 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for review and preparation of governmental bids and proposals for aircraft sales and services. Monitors and reports on governmental bidding opportunities. Participates in pre-bid meetings with management or customers regarding configuration requirements and proposal terms. Works closely with Sales Dept. to coordinate bids and proposals. Coordinates necessary approvals and conducts meetings required to meet bid deadlines. Prepares and releases bid response. • Responsible for preparation of Cost Summary Analysis for commercial aircraft sales quotes and proposals. Includes developing the aircraft configuration based on sales department input, inserting price, and cost elements and applicable discounts, determining gross margin, and providing risk analysis. Ability to make presentation of financial impact and line item terms to management committee for review and approval. Works closely with Sales Dept. and Operations Dept. • Supports the Sr. Director of Contract Administration with general contract negotiation, review and administrative duties as needed. Ability to represent the Sr. Director as needed. Provides financial analysis for various proposals. This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Experience

One to three years directly related experience. Helicopter or aviation business experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills, ability to read and interpret technical data and provide financial review of proposals. Bidding/contracting experience a plus. Occasional travel. Essential Functions Strong communication skills to enable incumbent to communicate with various levels of personnel inside and outside the company. Able to read and interpret various types of technical documentation and data. Ability to use computers and associated software.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
